Low, west of Ireland yesterday, has
continued to fill steadily. The
depression which moved NE across the W
North Atlantic yesterday, turned N
and has been absorbed into a deep
depression moving slowly into the Davis
Straight. Minor lows are moving
E at about 35-40N. High pressure will
continue to build S across the
British Isles. Pressure remains low over
much of central Europe, but
remains high over N Scandinavia.

Mostly
cloudy in S areas all period, but clearer conditions were moving into
the far
N and E. Snow showers were widespread but light and a little rain
fell
in the far S and SW. Winds were from the E, then NE later in the E.
Snow
cover was reported from most stations apart from parts of NW England, N
Scotland
and Ireland, away from the N
