Greenland but the easterly airflow over the
Br.Isles has eased in the S and
will be confined to the N of Scotland by
tomorrow. A westerly airflow
over the Atlantic, S of 55deg, is extending
into W Europe and Atlantic air
should cover much of Ireland, England and
Wales by tomorrow with a
significant rise of temperature..
Pressure is low to the SW of Portugal, and
near the Baltic States.

Cloudy and
windy most of the period with snow moving very slowly NE turning
to rain in
the SW. Blizzards were reported at many S stations but slowly
the
milder air moved NE, to be lying from N Ireland, through N Wales to SE
England
by 0600.

Forecast: Scotland and high ground over N
England will have further snow,
heavy at times with drifting, but this will
tend to turn to rain except in
the far N of Scotland. There will be a
little more snow over high ground of
N Ireland and N Wales but the remaining
areas will brighten from the W,
after further rain today.
Outlook:
Brighter with average temperatures in the S and the thaw will
accelerate in
the N.
