Where we go to in the summer

Near the Knockalla mountains and Portsalon - Co.
Donegal

This is where we spend
much of the summer. This is a view looking north along Lough Swilly, Co. Donegal
with the N.Atlantic just off the right of the picture. In the early part of WW1
many of the ships in the British Navy sheltered in this lough. We stay in a caravan
site just off the left of the picture. There are more images of

The first image below is a
view looking west from the other side of Lough Swilly, Malin Head. The beach in
the first image above is in the distance. The second image below is taken from
Malin Head looking east. A close look shows "raised beaches" above the
shoreline. Malin Head is the most northerly point in the whole of Ireland,
further north than any part of Northern Ireland.
